Common questions
Can I change my accusation?
No. One accusation per case, and it is recorded the moment you confirm it. That is the game.
When does the next case arrive?
At midnight UTC. The countdown on the home screen is exact, and it is the same for everyone regardless of where they are.
Why did my streak reset?
The streak counts consecutive days on which you made an accusation. Missing a day resets it. It counts showing up, not being right — a wrong accusation keeps the streak alive.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Cases are stored in the app. A connection is only used to pick up newly published cases, and the game plays perfectly well without one.
I solved it but was told I was wrong.
Every case is checked to be solvable from its own evidence before it ships, but mistakes are possible. Write in with the case number and your reasoning — if a case is unfair, it is a fault worth fixing.
Can I replay an old case?
Not at present. Each case belongs to its day.
